Line Lesson

K-3rd Grade (recommended)

Creation itself reveals that God is an artist and loves beauty. God used lines to create the heavens and earth. In nature, we see lines in trees, flowers, mountains, grass, stars, the moon and the sun.

Some of God’s most exquisite handiwork is on a miniature scale. Have you ever looked through a magnifying glass at a snowflake? You will see a multitude of lines creating a magnificent design.

We use lines to write words and draw pictures so that we can communicate. Look around the room. Do you see any lines?

Art Curriculum Video Classes

The video lessons in this section are part of a Larger Art Course. The larger art courses cover all the Elements of Art and Principles of Design based on Nation Standards. In addition, I will provide vocabulary, examples, and full art lesson plans in a digital download PDF format.

Each lesson comes with the following:

• Bible Verse and/or story or devotional

• Step-by-step instructions for art projects

• Examples of other student’s work

• Elements of art and principles of design vocabulary and definitions

• Beginner or intermediate projects

The best part of learning art with me is how all projects are connected to The Master Creator - All Mighty God.

You can choose a 4-week or 8-week plan from the larger courses. The bundled art classes are separated by age group, K-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and 7th-8th grades. Sometimes grades are combined.

Materials

• 9x12 sheet of white construction paper or watercolor paper

• Black fine-point marker
